For all you Southern cubbers and Bob McCarty, the freezer has been restocked with fresh picked peanuts today. We're in good shape for DSCF come February!

You can keep the peanuts, but we'll be there to eat the other stuff.

I hope things are not confusing with another Stan from Lower Alabama present :) Please add 2 to the list of attendees. If Raymond is available I would like to add a hood patch welding project like last year to the project list. Thanks, Stan

I'm also going to try to bring a couple of magnetos for Rick Spivey to evaluate and possibly repair. We've PM'd a couple of times about them. Stan

OK, just a heads up! I know I ended up with a "permanent" slot in the shop last year while I did a front end project (front seal and radiator gasket replacement, plus other tasks), but I am hoping that you will allow me to do some major work again this year!
:worthy:

As I have mentioned, I am bringing a new-to-me '56 Cub from the Orlando area (still looking for a ride for it to save the extra drive time??!). It is a non-runner, but not stuck and I think/HOPE it is something very simple keeping it from running. Simple, maybe, but too much for me in the short time I had to get it going! So here is a list of the things I am HOPING to do on it at DSCF, provided the schedule Guru will let me/us!!

Compression test
Valve adjustment
I have a Petronix Ignition Kit from the PO, and may install it.
Change all fluids (I have gaskets and fluids)
Possible carb rebuild, if needed (have kit)
Engine oil and filter changed with new oil pan gasket

And eventually (possibly not at DSCF):
Final seals replaced
PTO seal replaced

I have seen you guys help others resurrect tractors in worse condition, so I have faith that I will be DRIVING this Cub back onto the trailer!!

BTW, will there be anyone at DSCF that has experience with the Petronix Ignition, who would help me install it? That is, assuming it is the correct one...it was there with the cub, and when I looked up the number I THINK it said it was for a 6v 4 cylinder engine.

If Gary Dotson is attending, I think he can do it blindfolded.
