I have my driver all tuned up and ready to go. Leaving Mr. E's early Thursday morning looking for Bogalusa and any Cracker Barrel between here and there. Hope we have a good turnout and lots of projects for me and Skeet to oversee. I am really coming up in the world. Now I have a chauffeur and an assistant supervisor.

Ya'll come on. It looks likes it is going to be a little on the cool side. We have 2 Redneck wood heaters for outside (complete with smokestacks) and some heaters for the inside. If the plan doesn't change, there will be some good chicken & sausage gumbo for Thursday evening/night. Everyone please drive safe. The weatherman says some of you to the North might encounter some sleet & snow. We are ready for a good weekend.
Thanks for your effort,
Buddy & Hope

I want to echo Steve's disappointment in having to cancel our trip to Buddy's and Hope's Cubfest. All weather forecasters are repeating the same. Rain all day, turning to freezing rain, sleet and finally turning to snow later tonight. Tomorrow night the temp will be down to single digits.

This event has been on our calendar since last year. We had a wonderful time at their place last March. Sure hate to miss out on the good food and good fellowship. Not to mention that we get to work on cubs.

Again we are sorry, but we will try again (Lord willing) next year.

Crazy weather we're having down here. Currently 81 degrees and sunshine. Forecast to get down to 27 degrees tonight and freezing rain.

I don't care if we have a Louisiana Blizzard. Mr. E and me are like the Post Office people used to be. Nothing stops us, not rain nor sleet nor gloom of night. Bogalusa, here we come!!! Anybody know how long it would take to drive a Cub with a snow blade from Sneads to Bogalusa?

Steve, Ron, and JR, I'll see if I can get Foose to cowboy up with me in order to eat your shares of the gumbo. :D

Glad you stepped up Bob--someone surely had to fill the trough!! Gonna miss y'all but right now we have water all over the place and the sleet/freezing rain/snow is just West of Nashville headed our way. The 101st Airborne Division Commander, then MG Teddy G. Allen always taught us to take risk but to know when the risk became a gamble and to back off. Unfortunately, this freezy skid stuff is a gamble!! Unless it does the same thing in May, will see y'all at the Barnyard Bash!!

We are bummed out at missing the fun and food! Tennessee gumbo just cannot compete with LA gumbo.

Bob and Jim, think of the TN boys as you are eating all the goodies. We are blessed to have friends? like ya'll.

8 degrees here this morning along with 4 inches of snow on top of a coating of ice.

Gotta piggyback on Ron's post--sure do wish we hadn't gotten clobbered! Here is what our driveway looked like this morning--should have taken pictures yesterday! Hopefully it will thaw more today but that stuff was solid ice with a coating of snow then some freezing rain on top of all of it! UGH!! Sorry we didn't make it--next year for sure!! Steve
