Western Pennsylvania Garden Tractor Association,s Plow & Pul

Postby wally_471 » Thu Nov 13, 2014 7:01 pm

We will be OPEN (WPGTA)on November 15, 2014 no matter what, gas prices are the lowest in years. Now below $3.00 a gallon in Pa. WOW. Working on the farm comes with some tough times. All we will have to deal with is a little cool weather. We plan on having fires for warm breaks. The good hot food that will be served at the Beacon Hotel will be worth it too. I'll be there , will you? Go to the weather tab for the weather on Plow Day, cool and dry.

Welcome News, the Gas Prices are going down and are expected to even get lower. Not any to soon for our Plow and Pull day on Nov. 15, 2014 We are close to everywhere, a short drive from the Pa. Turnpike, Rt. 79, Rt. 19, Rt. 8. Rt. 68 and Rt.422 just south of Butler and not far from Cranberry, Mars and Evans City. Go to "Directions to Plow Days"

Western Pennsylvania Garden Tractor Association's fall Plow and Pull day Nov. 15, 2014 at the Beacon Hotel, 231 Beacon Rd. 16053. Its a all day event with food available by our host the good people at the Beacon Hotel. We have over night primitive camping and plenty of parking. This is start of our 3nd year as WPGTA but we have been around for 4 years now.We are on our own now and are looking for members to have fun playing in the dirt with us. Due to insurance your have to be a member to operate equipment $15 (14 to 18 year olds $7) a year with 2 events as of now and open to other events. Can join the day of the events. Spectators are more then welcome too. For up to date information please check us out at http://chapter34.com and look at our video http://www.chapter34.com/apps/videos/vi ... 7058-wpgta
Hope to see you at one of our events...

What a beautiful day picture perfect, sure glad I didn't believe Ginger Zee (weather woman) and miss yesterday ( NOV. 15, 2014)like so many did. We have not had a bad at The Beacon Hotel since we began having our events there. To those that missed yesterday its just to to bad, but the good news is we will be back in the spring on May 2, 2015. After that there will be a show at J&D's in Wexford, Pa. "AND THEN WILL HAVE A NEW EVENT still in the planning stage Marbuger Farm Dairy Plow and Pull Day before Big Knob Event. Keep checking back for date and time because you will not want to miss this one, there will be nothing on the field. I'll have some pictures from the last Plow and Pull Day and of the new place soon.

Thanks to all the HELPED make this a success

Pictures for now http://www.chapter34.com/apps/photos/ more will be added later.

When viewing photos to see in 3D click (view as side show), then click (full screen). Enjoy

Here are pictures of Plowing and Pulling from Nov.15, 2014 event at the Beacon Hotel. I had no problems plowing with my Cub Cadet 126. Ask Larry B. he drove it. The ones that did had to long of pins in there plow and brinlys or the plows where not set up right.

I tried to help others with there plows and will do the same in the spring May 2, 2015. In the works is a mid summer plow and pull day at the Marburger Farm Dairy not far from the Beacon Hotel.
