Could I bring a non-starter to the Tug?

Postby clintmo » Thu Jul 31, 2014 3:18 pm

I'm sitting here, looking forward to attending my first Cub Tug a week from tomorrow, and I'm wondering: If I manage to get a rig together to haul it, would anyone be able and willing to help me get my '55 cub started and running? I'll be there either way. I'm just not sure if this is that kind of event, or if I should just come and gather as much advice as I can, help out where I can and enjoy myself.

Thoughts?
Clint

Clint, I don't want to speak for the Cubfest hosts but would guess that will be okay. You might want to PM Doug (forum name 1541) and ask him so he can get it on the list of repairs. If your Cub ends up needing something that is unavailable there, it may not leave running, but at least you'll know the next step. You'll have plenty of good help without asking.

Clint, bring it along, I will give you a hand with it. This is exactly what the Tug is about. The format is the same as the Bash you attended other than there will be the Tug on Saturday.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

You guys are awesome. I don't doubt it, Cecil! And it's looking like you'll get a go at it. My brother said I was welcome to his trailer and my father-in-law offered up his truck. I'll just need to swap the back wheels to get it on there. This is looking good! I won't be getting there 'til Friday AM. And I need to head back shortly after the tug. Hopefully that will be enough time.
