DocFest

Postby John(videodoc) » Fri Aug 09, 2013 10:45 am

As some are aware it looks like will be moving in the near future. Thus there will no longer be a Docfest. It has been a Great run for the last 7 years. I have made some lifelong friends and met so many great folks from across the country. Thanks to everyone who came to Docfest and made it what it was. I'll still be around and on the forum I just won't be doing Cubs for a while untiil we get settled in our new place and get established. Hopefully I will have some time to sneak off to some other Cubfests I haven't been able to make it to in the last several years Looks like we are headed to Texas. Maybe Colorado. We are not sure yet.

John aka "Doc"

PS. be looking for some Demo's on ebay soon.

John:

It is sad to see the end to DocFest .. especially since we haven't been able to make it yet. I do wish you and the family all the best wherever you end up and I hope you will be able to continue with your Demo addiction at some point. As with all things in life, speed bumps and pot holes appear from time to time and we gotta maneuver around them.

I remember DocFest 2006. I was not present but the DeWalt set I won in the raffle has been VERY useful. Wonder how I got along without it. Used drill & nut driver yesterday. Hope the move goes smoothly and you and family are happy in new suroundings.

John, How soon will you know if you're moving to Texas or Colorado? I know what my recommendation would be if you have a choice.

John - I am sure the move will be beneficial in the long run. Best of luck wherever you end up. I remember some good times at the DocFest. Maybe you can move the CubFest trend to the west! Bob could use some company out there! :D
