The tractor on the end rows is a 2544 Hydro industrial. It ran like a top. Everyone agreed it could handle one more bottom just fine.

Al

OK It's tomorrow, trying again...

F-12. It was nice to see a pre-letter series machine. A first for our plowdays.

Some more....

I like these two. I wish I could have been closer. The 3588 is in the next field over, sort of a bottomland field.

This 3588 2+2 is immaculate. Bill "Redbibs" Jennings has several plows for it but today he used this nice IH offset disk with it.

"Bearing down" on the '78 Longstripe. It really bossed that 12" plow around!

A nice C, and a HOT 140. It would pull away from Old Ugly every time... :)

Our own Brendan In NC checks out Old Ugly and secretly lusts after the IH repro muffler from Carter & Gruenewald....
BTW Old Ugly did really well. This is the first time that I really worked the tractor hard since I got it from Billy Clay a little over a year ago. I have added a fast hitch and it was pulling an IH 215 plow with 14" bottoms. It knew the plow was back there but it did fine. The land was fun--it ranged from good old eastern NC sand to some TOUGH clay (probably more like a heavy clayey loam but you would call it "clay")

60 years of agricultural tractor evolution. Wonder what will be sitting beside that Magnum 315 in 60 years?
