I have been asked about the local accommodations for the Bash so I took a little ride through town. I found that the Comfort Inn/ Executive Inn next to Tractor Supply is closed. I don’t know if they will reopen before the Bash or if it will even be a hotel by then.

As for the Super 8 and Holiday Inn Suite, they are still there. I know nothing about these two places so I can’t help other than say the rooms at Super 8 are $69 for two double beds and $59 for a king bed. The Holiday Inn is $109.00-$115.00. It is best to call them so you can get discouts for AAA, AARP or any other discounts available.

Since I have never been in any of these rooms, anybody who has stayed at either place may want to post their experience for the newcomers, so they have an idea what to expect.

The phone numbers for reservations are:
Super 8 - (513) 367-5200
Holiday Inn Express - 513-367-1111
These are both within four miles of the Bash

As always, camping will be available near the barn (close to the campfire). We will have electric hook ups for anybody wanting to keep their tv/coffee pot/battery chargers going. See more here http://www.barnyardbash.com. I will update the page as new info comes in.

I have my room at the HI Express. We stayed there last year and it was a good room with an OK breakfast.

Charlie, glad to see you are coming this year, we missed you last year. We now have electric on that side of the barn for about ten motor homes and campers. I hope that guy in the pup tent shows up this year, we still have his cookie container. The crazy thing is, we had all that mowed lot and he wanted to be in the hayfield. (Hope you can make it this year Paul)

If everything goes right, I'll be there in my tent. I bought a fancy battery operated fan in case it gets hot at night. Maybe I should've invested in some sort of heater(the way this weather's been).

We have had rain and cold weather over the years and Bob and Mike even grabbed a couple shovels to help with the drive last year, but I don't plan to see snow this year at the Bash. By the way, there will be no gravel shoveling either!

I'm not sure, Bill. With the way this Spring is going (or lack thereof), I don't know if it's ever going to warm up again. Sixteen inches from the last storm and still snowing.

Right now it is 45º and will steadily climb to the high 50's by Sunday and then drop to the high 40's for several days after that. We may be moving into spring soon.
