DSCF - Wheel Weights to...???

Postby Dale Finch » Sat Feb 16, 2013 11:43 pm

Monitors, I'm not sure where to post this, because time is of the essence.

There were two rear wheel weights (along with hardware) near where I was parked at DSCF. No one seemed to know who they belonged to, and when I left this evening, they were still there. It occurred to me that PERHAPS I was supposed to be Cub Expressing them to someone, but (with my ever-feeble mind) I have no idea from or to whom they go. If I WAS supposed to be taking them somewhere, please PM me immediately, as I am staying overnight and leaving first thing in the morning.

Thanks!
Dale Finch

NAW! Just too much good BS going on at Mr E's!! And figured I didn't need to get up early to sell my wares, so stayed up too late last night! I was waiting for someone to offer me some hot dogs!

I really was hoping that someone would know about those weights, since I fear that I might have been asked to Express them somewhere....oh well, someone will probably be mad at me. There was no name on them, so we had no idea where they belong. I'll be leaving in a few minutes, so.... :?

Dale,

A similar problem, and a 360 mile trip cured me of not keeping a list of my Cub Express obligations. Got my list in the truck. Good luck finding the owner.

Dale, I remember seeing a FS ad by Barnyard a while back (no longer posted) that he had a set of repainted rear weights with hardware and he had sold them. I think he was attending DSCF, maybe he brought them down there for someone.

Its a shot in the dark, just a guess on my part, but if someone has Bill's cell maybe they can reach him to inquire??

Good luck.

No those painted weights that Bill had - I picked them up Friday and brought them home with me.

Yeah, Raymond just informed me that Tim Talleur brought them down.

Well it's too late for me to take them anywhere unless someone passes Roy's place and can bring them to me at the Freewheeler's Show (I'm halfway there now!). I'll be there Tuesday for an unknown duration. I can be reached by cell: 919-360-7979.

Hope they find their way home.

I remember seeing those weights with hardware, but there was a name on them on a piece of cardboard I believe. I cannot remember the name at this time.

Got the answer!! General Jim came down this morning to help clean up. The weights belonged to him. He had brought them down to see if anyone needed them. Matt helped him load them back on his truck! Thanks to everyone for you concern.
