I just today picked up my '55 from some local guys who replaced the rod end bearings. She (Bertha) had developed a slight knock and after dropping the oil pan at a cubfest, we found #1 rod was a tad loose. The guys measured and polished the crank and replaced all 4 bearings. Things seem to be good, though I need to check the points and valve adjustments. Also, will do a compression check just to see if she is OK.

I think we could make some headway on yours if you want to either bring it here or invite me/us to your place. Do you have air and tools? November is quite busy for me, but December is wide open so far.

Dale, I have air and air wrench, most common hand tools, not many specialty ones. Biggest hurdle is getting my Wife on board. Plus I have to clean and organize the garage so that the tractor can be brought in from the carport, don't want to tear into it out in the open.

I have from today until Nov 10th, Then after Dec 2. You make the coffee and turn on the lights and I'll be there!! :{_}:

Nab's is probably a slang word meaning Nabisco. Don't forget the Moon pies (doubledecker) and peanuts to go with the RC or Coca-Cola.

I DID!! I spent forever looking at all the cracker choices, and it turned out either they changed the name in the past, or it was just a nickname Ifrom NABisco!

Boss is a Dr Pepper man (Yea!)! RC goes with Moonpies!! (And I do like those mini ones!)

"Nab" is the small, square, orange crackers with peanut butter in the middle. They come 6 to a pack and are made by Lance. Anything else is just a peanut butter cracker....

FYI...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lance_Inc.

Nabs
Many snack cracker products manufactured by Lance are commonly referred to as "Nabs", a genericized trademark name for Nabisco snack crackers. The term originated in 1924 when the National Biscuit Company (Nabisco) introduced a snack, put in a 5-cent sealed packet called "Peanut Sandwich Packet". They soon added a second, "Sorbetto Sandwich Packet". These packets allowed salesmen to sell to soda fountains, road stands, milk bars, lunch rooms, news stands etc. Sales increased and in 1928 the company adopted and started to use the name NAB, which immediately won the approval of the public.[5]

No fair, Brendan! I had to settle for a frozen entree (turkey) late (10:00) after shredding the garden with the Snapper and going for groceries. BTW Rudi, we still have R-C here, Can I send you a bottle? Won't taste the same in plastic and with corn syrup.

Lance crackers at Sam's less than $7.00 for 40 packs. I like the square ones (ToastChee), and she likes the round ones (Toasty).
