Mike,

I'm making a Cub Express run to George Willer's tool sale. Got to make a pickup in Willard, OH and then drop it off to Mr. E, for delivery in Tennessee on his return trip to Florida. I'm really sorry to miss the fun. Have a great time.

No problem, Bill. I love get-togethers, so I can guarantee you that there will be more of this type thing... Heck, we might have to go have an intervention on someone's cub sometime soon!! LOL

See everyone tomorrow morning at Kountry Kitchen, Burghs and at Cubota's place...

Just wanted to report on Mike's first Cubfest.
Actually, it's the first I had a chance to attend, too
Although there were only a few of us, my daughter and I really enjoyed ourselves.

Met some great people and scored a much needed part for Betsy @ Burgh's.
If you've never been to Burgh's, you need to go. You'll think you died and went to Farmall Cub heaven

Got to check out Cubota's 1949 in excellent original condition. Not restored.
Betsy is a '49, too, and in pretty good mechanical shape but nowhere as quite as this one.

I scored (committed to may be a better word since I didn't bring it home) a 42' Woods belly mower.
When I get it, I may be looking to get rid of my pretty good 5' sickle bar.

I don't know what it is with Mike changing his handle so often. First, Wisconsin Mike and now Hengy.
What will it be next week, Mike?
Are you really a fugitive from the law that you need to change identities?

Seriously, Mike exhibits all the finer traits of this forum's most esteemed members.
An unabashed love of Cubs and an unselfish willingness to share and help.

Can't recall if you guys have a Cub Man of the year award, but Mike would deserve serious consideration if you do

I also had a great time at burghs and would like to thank Mike for organizing the day. I have been to burghs before but never have been that far back into the old stuff. It is like going to a museum and having some knowledgeable tour guides made it even better.

I didn't buy anything, but met some great people and hopefully found a good home for the old woods 42. Enjoyed having everyone over to give me there two cents on Greasy. Thanks Mike for adjusting the clutch pedal and I will start doing my homework on how to adjust the clutch fingers. Also want to thank Charlie for entertaining Mojo.

I also agree with Larry's nomination of the Cub Man of the Year Award going to Mike. He definitely exhibits the Love of the Cub!

Thanks again and looking forward to the next gathering.

Fred

Fred, I will definitely take your Woods if you are able to wait a little wee bit.
If you have an opportunity to get it out of your way before I get there I wouldn't be mad.
But I will take it otherwise

I wanted to add that attending Mike's Cub Fest re-invigorated me to be back here on the forum.
Life sometimes gets in the way.

But, the people here are the kind of people I'd like to know

Shoot, guys... I'll let you in on a dirty little secret... I LOVE getting together with other cubbers! These kinds of get-togethers are just another great reason for me to be back home in Pittsburgh. Closer to the action!

Larry, this isn't my first Fest to organize...I did the Cheesy Fest in Wisconsin for several years, but I kind of like these mini-fests though. They are easier to work out and much less stressful.

Fred, thanks for letting us invade your woodshop to do the TC as far as we could. I'm sorry that I didn't have enough time to clean it up before we worked on it...Being out of town three weeks straight really takes a bite out of your time, and I just really ran out of it. Hope your bench is no worse for the wear.

If anyone needs or wants some extra hands to help do the job, I am POSITIVE that there can be a weekend minifest...Or at least me... It is just a blast...

Thanks to Larry, Hannah, Fred and Lee for a great time. Charlie (my 6 year old) had a great time roaming around the junkyard and playing with Mojo and Fred's son...he felt like one of the guys!

A good time was had by all and I look forward to going back. Just got back home from my trip a couple of hours ago (my inlaws live in Pittsburgh). Burgh's was great fun. Just don't turn the crank to see if the motor is locked up. That old girl sounded like it was going to start! Thanks to Mike for setting this up and Fred for hosting us at your home. --Lee

Yeah, that was a bit scary... That big old W-9 was ready to pop on over. Scared the crap outta me! I honestly just wanted to check to see if it was locked up!! Last time I will do that for sure!
