If you have a project you want to get taken care of at Stonethrow please list it here so we can make sure to get it on the board at the shop. Just be sure to get all the parts needed and it will get done :D I already have a couple , Dusty B. will need some assistance with a brake job and hydralic rebuild so we will need a couple of folks to head that up. So let me know who has what and I'll put it on the board.

Ron, I also need a TC block Rebuild/flush for Jan's cub. It is working fine still but has all that brass floating around. I will get a kit.

I also have a motor with stuck valves. I need to check the valve seats, rings and bearings etc. I know we would need an engine stand, I have a hone for the cylinder walls, will need (plastiguage?), and I am not sure what else.

Is this a possibility?

A couple Cubs showed up at my house while my wife was out of town - both need some minor stuff done:

hydraulic leak in the TC block
front spindle replacement
weird noise in the clutch
general checking over to see what I've gotten myself into this time

Good I see we have a few things on tap.
I finally made my hotel reservations this evening so Bev and I are good to go.

Looks like we may have 3 or so TC units to rebuild. Maybe we can get Phil to kinda oversee these projects since he did his not too long ago? So far things are shaping up very nicely!

Looks like Dale Finch will need a tranny seal so I'll add this to the project list :{_}:

I will probably have a Cub needing the mag repaired (broken mounting flange) and the governor timed. Don't ask how I managed to do that. I will also have a head to replace on it if it comes off easier than the one I had at CI.

I can bring a donor case for that mag, rather than have someone try and weld that pot metal.

That sounds like a plan Rick.

Snuck up to Ron's over the weekend, and we both sat around and chilled more than worked! We got a little done for StoneThrow, but mostly just caught up on life a bit!

Then on Sunday, I cut grass around the pond with Mr. Harold's LoBoy. When I shut er down to move a log, ugh...a horrible screeching sound from the engine! I've got a sick feeling this ole feller has some engine work in his future! ...or maybe just a dry fan (I hope!)...Started it back up, and more squallin...

The front cover and oil pan need new gaskets and seals, he's blowing a good bit of carbon smoke, and he's gettin a little low on power (to be fair, the grass was over a foot high!). So I was planning to swap him over to 12-volt with pertronix this winter. But maybe first it's time to put the engine on a stand and go through it?

What do you guys think about having a look at Stonethrow?

Corky

Last time my Cub squealed, it was a locked up fan bearing!
