Plow Day This Saturday - Buchanan, MI

This Saturday the Buchanan, Michigan School System is hosting their annual Plow Day for antique tractors, garden tractors and horses. This event also hosts a pancake & sausage breakfast, small antique tractor and car show, blacksmith, petting zoo as well as other area items of interest. A simple lunch of hot dogs and chips is served to anyone wanting to buy it and a ticket is given to each plowing participant. The participant turnout is usually really good and has a very good attendance of kids and their parents.
A tractor is usually giving tractor rides that follow along with the various plowing. It is so fun to watch the faces of the kids (and parents ) as they watch the dirt turn over. Last year the event was rained out but the year before that, I pulled the wagon with my '37 John Deere "A".
They are calling for rain Friday, but it takes a lot of rain to get it rained out. It's always fun to see area Cubbers showing up and play in the dirt. I'll try to get some pictures and post a short report afterwards.
