Buckeye Cub Tug - Might live after all!

Postby Bigdog » Sun Apr 08, 2012 7:41 pm

With much regret, it has been necessary for us to cancel the Cub Tug.
We are undergoing many changes in our lives right now. It is really just not feasible for us to attempt to host this event any more. We have some things going on that I prefer to keep private but just to settle the question - no we do not have any life threatening illnesses or anything of that nature and we are very happily married.
We would also hope that you will respect our privacy in this matter.
We are looking for a smaller place that will require less maintenance. I will most likely be liquidating some of my "toys". If and when that happens I will post items in the appropriate for sale forum. We just don't know yet what we will be keeping and what will have to go.
We appreciate your years of support and hope we have entertained a few of you along the way.
I apologize to those who have already made arrangements for travel and lodging.

Well, I guess I procrastinated a little too long but I did get years of vicarious enjoyment. Best of luck in your transition.

Darrell,

I will keep you folks in my prayers. I'm sorry to hear the news, however, I understand that 'life is what happens, while we are making other plans.'

Rosie and I feel we have been blessed to have been a part of the Cub Tug these past several years. You and your family have put on an event that sets the standard we all shoot for. With out a doubt, many of us will miss attending the Tug, but we know you must do what is best for you. Thank you for the many good times you shared with us at past Tugs. Rest assured you have countless friends here who will support you in every way. God bless you and your family as you work through this difficult time in your life.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I would like to say thank you for all the years that folks you have put on this event. I know it has brought a lot of joy to a lot of people. I also personallyh know that there comes a time in everyones life when you need to downsize and move on. I will miss the good times, the extremely hot weather and especially the Saturday night singing. Good luck and all the best in the future.

Well said, Bill.

Darrell, you and Ms. Janet are in our thoughts and prayers. We have always enjoyed the Tug very much; second only to your friendship that has evolved as a result of the Tug and this forum.

I know that I have a poor understanding of all the hard work, time, effort, and money that was put into each Tug. I will treasure the memories of each one that I was privileged to attend. All I can hope for is that you both will still be attending other Cubfests. Selfishly, we all want more cookies. :D
