It wasn't the weather..... it was Mothers Day. It was pretty quiet, but Rob in NH and his son got a good tour of the place. At least, I think I gave a good tour :D

We always have at least one bad weather day. Art C is the cause of it, but we can't seem to get rid of him. He spends more time at Zagray, than he does at home! Ed

Good news, You'll like the show. Bad news, if you irritate Bob Perry, you'll end up on the forum, with your face, on a goat or cow, or possibly worse
There are actually 3 shows per year, in Colchester. The Cubfest is part of the spring show. All are worth attending, especially from 20 minutes away! Ed

Heck I may even bring a Cub this time.... if the machine shop gets busy (wrong rod bearings) I may even have the long stripe Cub . Or Rufus with a for sale sign.

I'm a new cub owner learning the art and science of frustrating, broken-down cub-life. I'm also a veggie farmer which makes May 4-6 about the worst time for a festival. But I'd love to come. What can I expect? Should I figure out how to bring my tractor? I'm in the process of trying to figure out how to fix just about everything there is to fix (which has stopped working since I bought the thing 2 months ago! I assume this is a good place to learn!

It is a difficult trade off...do you come down and lose valuable time that you could be working on the farm or stay on the farm and spend the season scratching your head with tractor problems. Best bet is to figure out how to get your Cub to the festival and get it running properly and get operating and tune up tips. Which is worth more in your estimation?
.
In addition you can make contacts and meet people who might have equipment for sale that you might need in the future. A lot of guys come across equipment deals all the time. I have had at least 6 sets of cultivators that I have bought and sold. Same with others. Rent a U haul trailer, bring some homemade food...cookies, or soup or something to share with others and you most likely be glad you did. If time is pressing to get stuff planted on your farm, just come on down on Saturday, but let people know your plans and what you need done so some of the guys can dedicate their time to help you. They are always looking for projects.
