Dale # 2 came up today with 2 ailing cubs, :D one down and one to go, I hope she will post a pic or 2.
Hopefully we will take care of some of # 2 ailments tomorrow. Had a blast, and the dog got into her stash of food too
Guys I will tell yawl what the 55 is for sale, it is a sound cub in my opinion Ifin you are looking a cub you may want to give her a haller

Boss played hookie today...he had planned to get some real work done, but graciously got my '55 running and it sounds GREAT!! Oh dear, and this is the one I plan(ned) on selling to pay for my '52!!! Tomorrow we tackle the '52...check out the charging system (hopefully just a dead battery) and a noise in the transmission that I just discovered in 3rd gear. He has a final for me that will get swapped out at DSCF along with a rear engine seal replacement. After that cosmetics!

With all his ongoing projects, I REALLY appreciate his giving me this time to get these two running, and learn a lot about them! Thanks, Boss!!!

Breakfast at 8am! :big smile:

P.S. Photos tomorrow! Was so excited forgot to take any!

Dale, you are supposed to keep the good one and sell the not as good one. Not that I know the difference! But when Boss says it's a good one.....

I KNOW!!! I KNOW!!! Of course there is plenty of time to change my mind. The only problem is that I just finished sandblasting the final I picked up from Boss, and will put in new bearings and seals tomorrow, then paint it so I can take it to DSCF ready to install on the '52. So with that kind of investment (plus the rear seal replacement I plan there), I will probably keep the '52. Besides, the '55 will be easier to sell.

Looks like Boss is patting the '55 for good behavior!

And here you see where the new hood brackets (both sides) were welded on.

And we had a bit of help from these two!

I'm heading back up Friday to retrieve the 2 cubs, paint the '55 tank and grill, and get the '52 ready to travel to DSCF. Busy, busy, busy!

P.S. oh, and I am still trying to finish fitting the SA grill so I can roll that one out!

I do understand the 'investment' in time and all.... I have a 50 Cub that I will keep probably forever.... worked on it for a year. But I use the raggedy yeller one more than any of them (the Lo Boy is close).

Nice pictures.... Looks like Timmy and dog are good friends!
