Indiana Plow Day / Spring Planting Session

I am going to put this out there for anyone who would like to attend the Indiana Spring Plow Day / Planting Session. If we get enough interest, we can also turn this onto a CubFest with projects and a workshop.

Last year was such a crazy weather year that our plow day was on the dry side and our disking/planting session was too wet.

This year I will pray for better weather, but even with bad weather we have plenty of room indoors to work on Cubs. I am planning on having it May 5th and 6th and any early attendees are welcome to come.

I would like to spend Saturday plowing and early Sunday disking and planting. I know a lot of people will have to get on the road on Sunday, so we will only be planting about 1 acre of sweet corn that day. I am going to stagger all 3 plantings by one month each so we will have good spacing between harvest times. With enough interest, we can also put together a project schedule for tractors to work on.

We have a good sized shop with a lot of tools here and a lot of room under roof for working on Cubs. I am not a Cub mechanic, but if we can get some of the senior guys to come, we should be in good shape for anything anyone can think of.

I will provide lunch and dinner on the 5th and 6th.

If you are planning to bring a Cub to work on for specific problems, please post what you will be working on so we can make sure to have the right tools and expertise here.

I may have a plow for the 140 by then and if I do, you can try it out.

By the way, I bush hogged about 3 acres since the new plugs and wires and it is still running great!

Hehe, Glad to hear it, Matt. We'll see how things go. I'll have my plow by that time too!

Well guys, since this is the sticky, I didn't want anyone to miss that the Plow Day is cancelled.

Thanks,

Matt
