Well several Cubs and alot of Farmalls.

Took the wife and grandkids to Landmark Park in Dothan on Saturday for the annual "harvest day festival". We had a blast. They had 30-40 tractors and assorted equipment there. They had a parade with the tractors and also a tractor pull. A "green one" that had been "modified" took first place in several weight classes. There was this one "M" that I think came from Wetupka Alabama that took first in one of the classes and 2nd in three and third in one class. It basically was "factory".

I was impressed!

We got to watch them plow up some peanuts with a team of horses, stack them on poles, take some that had been drying for a month to the picker and we also watched them pick some peanuts with a 42 model picker powered by an 8n Ford tractor.

I have included some pictures.

Thanks for the pix. You mean to tell us that Mr. E. didn't take the time to drive an hour to put that big ol' "M" in the show?

That is indeed a good show. Been there several times. Didn't make it this year (vacation).

Lot of interesting things from days gone by there.

Tim, did you see the display of antique washing machines or the sugar cane / syrup making? Very interesting.

Yes I did see the washing machine. I have never seen anything like it before. That thing just putted right along. I bet you were considered rich folks if you had one of those back in the day!
Kathy watched the syrup making but I missed it somehow.

My whole crowd really enjoyed the day. There seemed to be something for everyone. :D
