Who is going to the Midwest Cubarama and Cub Cadet Show

Postby Barnyard » Fri Aug 18, 2023 1:05 pm

Located in Pinckneyville Illinois September 15 and 16. I plan to be there this year with a load of stuff for the swap meet. I am curious how many folks will be there as well.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Do they draw anywhere near the crowd that Jamie did?

I haven't been to the Pinckneyville one yet. It's not that far from me, it's just not as close as Fredricktown is.

I may try to go this year, maybe on Saturday. It would be nice to see to compare this show to Jamie's.

My BIL and I will be there. We have been to both shows so far. The turn out is similar to Cubarama towards the end...not in it's hay-day. See you there.

That hasn't happened since this event's schedule was moved to the same weekend as one of the bigger shows here.

The old date was a lot better.

The date is too close to the Rocky Mountain CubFest. Some of us can’t make it to both. Next year we will probably skip Pinckneyville.

It's kind of a catch 22. I know this show is close to another show or event, so the tendency is to skip this show to got to another, more popular Cub event. But, that also gives the impression to this show's organizers that Cub owners aren't interested in going to Cub shows. When attendance is down, this event may get cancelled in the future. If this event doesn't seem to be popular to Cub owners, the tendency then is to not go. Sort of a catch 22 in the making.
