Alas, after my sisters talked with me, I have decided it would be prudent for me to stay at home. :( You guys don't want our NC super germs, anyway!! I'm truly disappointed to miss this, and sure hope you all have a great time!!
Take care, stay healthy, but have fun! :tractor:

So what is up with the National Guard being called out in Louisiana over the virus thing. Will we be able to travel through the state. Will we be able to get home?
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Don’t know why in Louisiana, but in MS they have been activated to support mobile testing units

We just don't want to be caught with highway or fuel restrictions. We do want to be home Sunday.

”National guard activated in Louisiana to “provide assistance to the states that include logistical support, disinfection/cleaning, activate/conduct transportation of medical personnel, call center support, and meal delivery."

We are in Slidell got here on Sunday went to New Orleans wow what a mess but its closed Orleans down starting at midnight last night. I did find out that they did activate the National Guard to patrol Bourbon street. They said people wont listen. We are still going to Buddy & Hopes but need to find stuff to do for 2 days. Oh well that's life.

We aren’t going anywhere in NJ. NY and NJ have schools closed, restaurants serving only takeout, bars, movie theaters and Atlantic City casinos are closed! We’re not on full lockdown but everyone is being urged to stay home. It’s getting nuts here.
I may go out for gas to fill all the cans and tractor tanks like I did before Hurricane Sandy.
Might be overkill but we’ve already gone past any measures I thought would be taken.
Drive thru corona testing with guardsmen in hazmat suits (???)
Their talking keeping kids home and schooling over the internet for the rest of the school year.
That’s a first for me.

Y'all be very careful about where you go in New Orleans . I strongly discourage folks from going into the french quarter . 90% of the people you see there are tourists , the rest either work there or " work " there ( criminal element ). coppersmythe .... Avery Island ( tobasco co. ) is a great destination . A little out of the way , but worth the drive .
