DSCF is over

Postby Bob McCarty » Sat Feb 15, 2020 5:12 pm

Many thanks to Roy, Mary, their daughters, Tim, BR and all the others who helped. The food was great, as always, 6 or 7 Cubs left in much better shape than they arrived and I saw a lot of good friends there. There is a new restaurant in Sneads (Johnny Mac's) that was good, and all of the rooms at the Inn will be completely remodeled by next year.

I have to chime in on the thanks to Roy, Mary, their daughters, Tim, BR and all the others who helped. Connie and I had a great time helping others this time. We made it home around 7 PM ET.

First time at DSCF without my own project! It was fun to be able to "flit about" to the various tasks. Amazing to see the number of splits along with other major jobs.

Thank you ALL who made this another great cubfest!! And HAPPY BIRTHDAYs to both Mr. E and Cecil!

After all the projects were completed, of course the "boys" had to go out and play with their toys!!!

WOW is all Brenda and I can say. Our first Cubfest was awesome. A very heartfelt Thank You to the Edenfields for doing a great job of not only hosting this event, but also of making us newbies feel at home. Also thank you to all the new friends we made that treated us like we were regulars. Folks, if you have never been to one of these events, or are hesitant to go because you feel like you may not fit in, you are in for a surprise. This was truly a unique experience. Can’t wait till next year. See you in Bogalusa!

It is 2:30 am Sunday and Rosie and I just got home. It seemed like a long twelve hours of driving. A big thanks to everyone from here as well. A special thanks to those who had a hand in my double split. With a few more minor details and my Cub should be ready to work. Time for me to get some sleep.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Thank you to all the wonderful folks that attended DSCF #11. I had a blast enjoying the folks have a good time. Special "Thanks" to everyone that helped tweak a couple of my toys!!!! And a special Thanks to Mr. Gary for teaching me how to time the mag on my old 1935 Farmall F-12. She ran like a sewing machine when he was done.

And a special "Thank you" to my team of experts for making the event a huge success!! Could not have happened without you all.

Our thanks to Mr. Roy and Mrs. Mary and ALL the others that participated in the DSCF! As always, we had a wonderful time visiting with friends we have known for a while and meeting several new ones and getting to know them! We are already looking forward to next year's visit to Sneads!!
Now it's time to look toward March and our own Cubfest!! As always, we hope and pray that everyone can make it to Bogalusa and we look forward to hosting the Louisiana Cubfest on March 20 and 21! It will be hard to beat the food we had at Sneads, but maybe everyone will leave full and satisfied!!
See y'all soon,
Buddy & Hope Banks

knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.
