Re: Thank You Bill and Rosie
Holed up in Abilene for the night. Had a great time at the Bash and ate way more than I should have. Thanks Bill and Rosie!!! I think most of the projects were completed, both bays were full most of the time.

Thanks so much to Bill and Rosie for putting on this fantastic event. Ms Connie and I had a great time and are already looking forward to next year. We've moved down the road to a bluegrass festival in Hopedale OH. It will have to be really good to top the Bash.

Bob,
Sometime on one of your trips through Kansas on I-70, we ought to meet up for a bit in Topeka.

Re: Thank You Bill and Rosie
Thanks, Bill and Rosie, for opening up your place to us all for another great Bash. So glad I was able to make it back this year. Big thanks to everyone who leant a hand on the various jobs that were completed on my Cub this year. I love this group of folks.

Thanks Bill and Rosie! Another great Bash! I was totally beat when we got home yesterday! Seems a lot of projects were completed at this one, the shop was a very busy place. Let's do it again!

Re: Thank You Bill and Rosie
Thanks again to Bill and Rosie and everyone else that helped.
The fires did not disappoint. The firefighters in attendence can probably weigh in, but according to my calculations, when we all had to get up and move our chairs back another 10 feet, we increased the available spectator space by about 20 more people.
In general, allowing a comfortable 3 foot wide space for each chair, I am thinking that the formula formula would be simply:
The number of spectators = (3.1415 x 2 x R)/3,
where R is the distance from the center of the fire pit to the required "eyebrow-safe" spectator circle. This is largely dependent upon the btu's of whatever type of furniture, lumber, stumps, or other wildly combustible items Bill has dumped in it.
So, although the formula appears straight forward, it is the variable R that can be quite unpredictable albeit the most entertaining.
Jo and I are looking forward to next year where we may need to practice some Stop, Drop, and Roll.

Re: Thank You Bill and Rosie
Don, that is about the way my calculations work out, as well. That "R" variable will get you every time!
