Pix from Shallow Creek CubFest 2018

Postby Barnyard » Sun Oct 21, 2018 2:55 pm

We had a great time this year. The weather was very cooperative other than the wind that blew in from the west on Saturday. But Jeff left after lunch and things were back to normal. Okay, all kidding aside, the winds did keep us from having our Saturday night fire, but the shop was heated so we had a late night of discussions.

Don B got more done on his Cub than he expected. We made a repair to the chain on a Cub manure spread. A dead Cub was brought back to life and several little things were tended to. All in all it added up to another fun filled CubFest. Hopefully we can our fifth get together next fall.

Thanks to all who made the trip! :{_}:

Here are a few pix of this years fun.

This will take a little explaining. We had a stuck valve so we rigged up a 50 to 1 reducer to a drill and the end of a benthand crank to keep from wearing out our arms turning the engine over. I will have to get pix of all the pieces.

Gary got some welding time in on the manure spreader belt.

When we did have a fire we didn't put the logs on one at a time, we dumped the hole bucket load.

Thank you, Bill and Rosie, for the hospitality!
The weekend was a little tough on left hand drill bits and easy outs, but it was a great time with great folks.

Thanks Don. Had a great time. When we got home well mother nature wasn't good on power lines(we have power some still don't). So did fear well at stop sign. Tree fell on their vehicle. They are good.

we sure did. I filled up on the potato soup and beew/veggie soup. A ton of salami rolls and baked beans sure went well to boot.
