Jo and I arrived home at 1:30 Sunday afternoon. We found an 18" diameter oak tree laying on the house. Lots of damage. Eave crushed and several large holes in the roof resulting in some water damage. Got the tree removed today. Have tarps in place. Tip: Always have a bunch of Harbor Freight tarps on hand!
Had a great time at RPRU though!

Sorry about the damage. Hopefully insurance covers it all. All but the inconvenience, that is.

That is the down side of any trip from home. You never know what surprise you will find when you get back. Sorry it was your turn.

I got home about noon today.

That’s a bit of a downer, Don! Sure enjoyed the time we spent you two, at the Roundup, though!

Sorry about the house Don, but one way off looking at it is at least you and Jo weren't there and could have gotten hurt. Y'all are safe and houses can be fixed. People sometimes can't so count your blessings and not the bad. Glad y'all are safe. God bless....

The tree is safely off the roof, tarps on, insurance adjuster and contractor involved.

Glad we weren't there when it hit. I'm sure it was quite an impact.

Just a little semi-related tidbit here…. After spending three days in the company of thousands of IH enthusiasts, I felt a little concerned about the potential of Covid exposure. By my own choice, I did not wear a mask at the event. Anyway, just to set my mind at ease, I went yesterday and got tested. Got the results today. Negative. All is well in Mountain Maryland. :D

Not trying to scare ya, but my parents (both in their 70's) have had BOTH a false positive AND negative results. They were freaked out first time when they thought they had it but didn't. They also were mad and upset a few months later after first believing they only had the flu, to then be told after going to get relief from common flu, only to be told they were infected with COVID-19 and were quarantined.

Not scared. All tests have false positives and false negatives. But, the frequency is small. I’m asymptomatic.

 Came home this morning from vacation and found my RPRU 2022 Farmall Cub toy tractor had finally came in the mail.
It looks very nice. Sorry I can't upload photos... Only one BIG problem is that the box has the date of June 23-25,2002 on the top of it. Folks check your cubs!!
I may be old but I got to see all the cool bands
