the cold weather we have been having reminded me of this:
An advertising executive for Proctor & Gamble was on a fishing trip to Alaska, and being a good company man was talking to his Eskimo guide about the products they sold, for doing laundry, etc., and asked what he washed clothes in. The guide replied that with winter coming, he and all the other Eskimos in Alaska during the winter washed their clothes inTide. The Proctor & Gamble advertising man thought that was great, and when he returned to the states he started planning a huge advertising campaign about the Eskimos in Alaska all washing their clothes in Tide during the winter. As the multimillion dollar campaign was preparing to launch, one of the junior advertisers started wondering about why the Eskimos always washed their clothes in Tide during the winter, so he decided to find out. He caught a flight back to Alaska, found the same guide and asked him why all the Eskimos washed their clothes in Tide during the winter. The guide replied, "Because it's too d**n cold outTide."
