Saved a c-3 mower from scrap pile, redoing for my lo boy!

Got a project that you are working on that is not a tractor? Maybe a barn to hold your tractors or just fun stuff like woodworking, glass, tools, sheds, gardens, custom implements, etc., this is the place to talk about it.

Saved a c-3 mower from scrap pile, redoing for my lo boy!

Pulled a C-3 Mower out of a Guys scrap pile. He said it was to far gone for him to repair. It came with mule drive pulleys and everything!

Started cleaning off old paint and grass.

Cutting new metal to weld in underneath the deck.
Image
Making my own custom ag spindle wheels for the deck.

Hopefully soon i will have it all welded up and painted before the grass stops growing!

Way to go! It's not too far gone, just too far gone for the PO. If you're at the level where you'll replace bad sheet metal with good, then almost nothing is too far gone for you!

Looking forward to more pictures of your project. Keep going... :coffee:

Glad to see it working again, but the 2 things I wanted to now see is ...
1) Those wheels you looked like you were going to mount on the mower in the first pictures where you made custom brackets...
2) I GOTTA SEE MORE PICS OF THAT CUP HOLDER!!!! (the one by the steering wheel) I want to make that n would love to see pics of it and how you made it. I now want cup holders added to my 2 cubs and to my Super A.... :coffee:  :thanx:

One: wheels came on mower deck, i was just making a set for this one. But the one hit the oil pan so i cut them off and i'm just using the skids.
Two: Cup holder is a piece a basketball pole cut and welded to a piece of angle iron. u bolt holds it on, a cozy adds insulation and minor suspension.
