Family is Growing

Got a project that you are working on that is not a tractor? Maybe a barn to hold your tractors or just fun stuff like woodworking, glass, tools, sheds, gardens, custom implements, etc., this is the place to talk about it.

Family is Growing

Postby wfmdfm » Fri Nov 29, 2013 8:52 am

Well out family is growing. Having six children is leading to lots of mouths to feed on the holidays with wife's and girlfriend, boy friends and grand children. So we out grew our dinning room. I decided I would build a large table to accommodate needs. So I built this table from cherry to match the floor and cabinets. Its 12 feet long with the leaves but closes to 6 feet without them. As I was looking at my pictures from yesterdays dinner I had this one I snapped before everyone arrived. This was not set up but look what was parked out in the yard. I thought that rounded the picture out well.

Wally - Very Nice.

Not sure when you found the time to make a table with six children, but you did, and it looks awesome.

We bought a table in Shipshewana Indiana back in 2006 that opens up to seat (22) if necessary. We have two leaves in it for our daily use with five children.

Got to admire the skills of someone who can make a beautiful table like that. With you large family, it will make meals a real family :||): event :||):
My parents could have found a big table like that useful, having had 16 of a family :{_}: 10 sons & 6 daughters :||): :||):
