Winch on trailer

Got a project that you are working on that is not a tractor? Maybe a barn to hold your tractors or just fun stuff like woodworking, glass, tools, sheds, gardens, custom implements, etc., this is the place to talk about it.

Winch on trailer

Postby Winfield Dave » Sat Nov 09, 2013 5:53 pm

Finally got around to taking some pics of the receiver I made for my "new" trailer.
The primary use is for the winch to load those "ran when parked Cubs" we all like to buy.

Can slide it in from the other end to store out of the way.

Used pretty much the same set up for the manual winch. Place a foot under front of winch mount to floor to keep winch (top rail) from twisting down when towing.

Also welded braces to trailer's top rail back to the trailer tongue to keep trailer's top rail from twisting.
I have an excuse. CRS.
