Welding cart

I have a welding cart from HF. Its done what I wanted for a while. I was thinking on what can I build to fit my needs. I have a Hobart 140 welder & a Hobart plasma cutter. I had my loose equipment in two locations. I went on Miller weld to look for cart ideas. I found one that I thought I would like. I changed things a little. I had someone give me some 1" x 1" tubular steel plus wheels. I had to buy some some more metal 1" x 1" angle as tubular steel but oh well. I need to add a few more things like a handle , rod to secure the drawers & the welder, plasma cutter.

Yeah, I like that! Using the file cabinet is a good idea. Great place to store your helmet, gloves and extras.

This gets two thumbs up!!

Jeff:

Interesting approach and I like the use of what you have at hand -- file cabinet. Useful idea as Rick mentioned - great place to store welding paraphernalia.

Great idea congrats.

I have a 200amp hobart gas driven arc welder thats 100% duty cycle. It has a 4k generator on it. I want to fab a cart for it along with my oxy/acc cutting/brazing outfit but i want to piggy back a hobart 140 MIG off of it too. Like you i want a portable package that holds it all.

I've been kicking around variations of this cart for a while. Image Depending on your browser, you may have to open the pic in another window.

Bill, I saw that one (or one very similar) in one of the car magazines I subscribe to. Man, that guy just takes his shop with him, very impressive!
