Missing my Teeny B

Last night I lost one of the best friends I've ever had. Teeny B was the last remaining dog we had. She was 12 years old and had been blind for a few years. It never daunted her. She adapted and moved on. When we lost her last companion Zippy a few months ago I worried about her since she had never been an "only dog" since she was born. But she dealt with that well. We came home last night to find her laying at the top of the stairs in the upstairs hallway. It had stormed while we were gone and she hated storms.
I'm really going to miss her as she was special to me. She was an exemplar of courage in how she faced her handicaps and never let it slow her down.
Godspeed Teeny B! We'll meet you at the rainbow bridge..........

Darrell, I'm sorry to hear this. She always amazed me when I saw how well she got around. She seemed to always know someone was near. Having lost a couple good dogs myself, I know how hard it is to let one go. Rosie and I hope you and Miss Janet find comfort in knowing she is now back with Zippy.

Darrell, it's hard to loose a loved pet, BTDT too many times. Our thoughts are with you and Miss Janet. If you can find a copy of "A Dog's Purpose" , borrow and read it.

Darrell Bev and I share your loss. We have lost animals through the years and each one was a member of the family.
The coping with blindness ws quite an accomplishment.
I encountered a similar situation today. Bev and I are in Virginia celebrating a Grand sons college Graduation. Billy completed the need last couple of courses this week. One of his friends girlfriend had little use of her underdeveloped arms. Didn't hold that girl back a little bit. It took her i hand to hold a fork and the other above the elbow to get it to her mouth but she did it and with grace. She had to hold a burger against her shoulder and move her head to get a bite. You should have the fight to get her to her shoulder. I truly felt there are people that are handicapped yet watching her there are people that do the same things but in a different way.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I know how it to lose a pet, especially after so many years. Having lost one recently as well. I hope you and Miss Janet adjust well.

Let me know if you want to be on the list for a puppy. When we have that is. The list is getting long. Up to 2 already. :-)

Sorry that I am so late in coming to this thread. Having met both of your dogs at one time or another, I know how much they were a part of the family. I am sorry for your loss!

Sorry for your loss. Our four legged friends really do become part of the family. I am sure she and Zippy are playing together again.
