Are your tractors used for show or working?
Working, but I show them in their working clothes

How much Land do you work (Acres)?
We have 2.71 acres. I play in 2 large garden plots, and take care of my neighbors 5 acres.

What was your first tractor experience (does not have to be a Farmall or Cub)?
Grew up next to Grandpa’s Dairy farm in Glens Falls, NY (Adirondacks)

What is your Cub's primary work?
To make me happy. To play in the dirt and to mow the grass.

What is the favorite Cub of all which you have owned and why?
Elmo. He was my first and I learned most of what I know about cubs from him.

What first sparked your interest in owning a Cub?
I am on disability. I was laying around, depressed, and needed a purpose. A reason to get up, go out and stay as active as possible. I was looking for a small tractor, and did not care what kind. I found Elmo, then I found Farmallcub.com .It has changed my life.
Elmo came with some “stuff” and when I posted pictures of it, I kept getting asked if I would sell it. Then I found another cub and everyone wanted parts off it. I never intended to do with the implements and parts what I am today. I enjoy finding the rare and hard to find and needed parts and implements the members here want and need. It allows for me to attend the cub fests that I do, and to continue to find other stuff for other folks. Otherwise, it would get scrapped or rust and rot away. And that would be a shame.

What task/use of your Cub provides the most enjoyable seat time?
Taking me to the Corner Market for a cold drink and a snack cake and a couple gallons of gas for the cub. I get to talk with the old timers and relive memories with them, as well as let the kids sit on them.

Favorite thing you like about Cub's and Cadets?
Easy to work on, and folks love to see them, young and old.

Describe your most satisfying or frustrating experience working on your own or someone else's Cub?
Taking the head off a 48 by myself, cause the motor was stuck. I found it had a stuck valve. I freed it up, replaced the head, and had it started before I ever got it off the trailer. I had a local friend buy it before it got of the trailer too. It got unloaded at his house.

Do you host or participate in CubFests, Cubarama, Mini-CubFests? How so?
I host the Mid TN Cubfest. The past 2 years it was in Oct. and it was cold , wet, and miserable. Most folks were cubfested out by then and with the nasty weather, the turnout was small. This year, it will be on the weekend of August 20. I also have attended the FL. And LA Cubfest’s this year, and plan to attend the VA, CA, the Barnyard Bash, the Cub Tug, Mid TN, CI Cubfest, and Stonethrow.

OTHER ENJOYABLE ACTIVITIES
--------------------------
What other hobbies do you enjoy? talking
Do you hunt or fish? I fish some(with Dad)
-- What is your favorite game? Hand and foot(cards)
What is your favorite Sport? MMA
-- Do you have a favorite Sports team? Nope
Favorite Book? I like autobiographies (of conservatives)
Favorite Movie? Blind Side
Favorite Actor/Actress? Clint, The Duke, Sandra Bullock
Magazine(s) you subscribe to? Hobby Farm
Favorite outdoor activity? Riding my cubs
Do you maintain a garden? yes
-- How large? varies, not big
-- What vegetables to you grow? Corn, peas, squash, melons, carrots
Do you maintain a personal orchard? We have a few apple and persimmon trees
-- Type of fruit grown? Apples, and persimmons

What is your favorite Quote or saying?

Do you have any immediate goals in your life?
To become prepared for the coming economical troubles, and to be able to provide the needed implements and tractors to those that desire to get back to growing some of their own food. I think times are going to get a lot worse before they get better. It does not scare me, I just want to be prepared.

Very informative Dale. Keep growing the persimmons and apples. Plant any fruit or mast bearing trees. Pine trees are now dominant in my area. Wish things could be like they used to be.

I enjoyed the bio Dale. Looking forward to seeing you again at the Boss'es Fest. Thanks for all of the info you have provided me over the past two years. You were the first person that I met two years ago at Boss Hogg's fest I bought several items from you that day and made a good friend. Glad to know you.
