Paul:

Thanks for the bio -- interesting. Yes .. I know what cricket is... it is an interesting sport. Course knowing what it is and understanding the rules are two different things.

I have family just a little south of you in Melbourne.

hey , thanks for all the replies.
Cricket , yep it's an odd game. Blame the Poms for that.
People who don't know much about it still can't believe that a game can last 5 days and still end in a draw...

here's a quick summary of the rules of cricket.

You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out.
When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men have been out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game
Cripes - I thought I'd never get one.

Hello Paul,

Good to know a bit about you. Nice Holden. What part of NSW are you in? My sister lives in Dubbo and a neice and a nephew in New Castle and Canberra. I was there last March (2012), had a great visit and toured a great part of NSW, from New Castle to Broken Hill and as far south as Temora and Canberra. I really enjoyed the "outback" but I gotta say I can't imagine trying to farm out there, pretty much all gravely soil and sand, no top soil that I could see. I hope you find your Cub.
