Ribbet frog sound

Postby Redcub » Wed Nov 06, 2013 10:39 pm

Dennis, I hear the "click" on Mini chat when somebody hits "send". What :big what: is the frog sound?
Can I change that to a Cub starter,

Sure, at the bottom of the chat window is a small checkbox for sound. Uncheck it and your frog should go away ;)

It should be a small beep. I'm not sure why your sound card is make it sound like a frog...

I found the frog. It is an error sound from the chat program. I've removed the frog's vocal cords so he won't be ribbiting any more ;)

I had noticed it also, but just assumed it was a way of letting you know there was a post if you were browsing elsewhere in the forum.

I had heard it several times and had mentioned it to Rudi thinking my computer had a virus. I had described it to him as sounding like someone passing gas. This started around the time the new chat started.
It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something.

Ok.. well that's a shame .. :( A glitch that was useful ..

I liked it as it let me know when a new post came in when browsing the forum. It was unique and couldn't be confused with any of the other alerts normally found on a puter. Oh well.....

The gas analogy was funny too
