The iPad and the PC don't like each other. Is there a way to enter a second email address?

Dan,
Tell us more about the machines not liking each other. I use a PC and a Mac laptop. Same email addresses are used. No issues. Maybe we can help you figure it out.

Re: E-mail
The iPad gets the Outlook mail just fine. The PC has the user name and password stored so I don't have to login each time. When I use the iPad to reply to a post FC wants a user name and password. I put in the ones used on the PC but FC says invalid. I can change the password on the PC but not on the iPad because FC
won't let the iPad in. Does that make sense ?

Dan:
I am not an iPad user.. gave up on Mac's long, long time ago.
However it would seem to be an issue with your security settings on the iPad. Shouldn't matter what platform you are using, Mac, PC, Linux etc., login requirements are all the same. Investigate you security settings and how your iPad talks to sites requiring authentication/logins. Check also your certificates etc.

Re: E-mail
There are no "security" settings per say on an iPad as you have on a PC. I have an iPad and it's a much simpler device. I sometimes use the desktop PC, but mostly use the iPad and I've never had an issue with user id's and passwords between the two on any site.

Re: E-mail
I tried it again yesterday. I requested a new password from FarmallCub.com and received a temporary one in minutes. When I tried to log in with the new one I got something like 'you have exceeded the number of times' etc. Went to the PC and everything worked fine. Maybe it's FarmallCub.com that does not like the i pad.

Same here. Posting this with it now! The only things I cant do with it is upload photos to the photo host, inbed pics into a post, or use the chat, all I'm assuming because of the flash requirement for those actions. Everything else works just fine. I just changed my password for this site using the iPad, so all the actions and options in the "control panel" work fine for me as well.

Dan,
On your iPad, you will need to answer the CAPTCHA question on the login page to unlock the "exceeded login attempts" error. That should get you back on.

Re: E-mail
I'm still on the track of the problem between PC and i pad. So far I have learned that Apple changes the first letter of the user name and password to upper case. Wonder who's dumb idea that was. Problem is only partially solved.

That is not the case on all sites, and the issue with the site, not the iPad. To be sure, i just logged out and back in and this site does not auto change the first characters for my user ID or Password, but it will auto uppercase when starting in a text box like this for a reply, and after every period.
If you want to change the way it works, go to "Settings -> General -> Keyboard" to turn auto capitalization off.

Re: E-mail
I think the problems have been resolved. Two techs and a senior IOS manager finally got it. It took 3 1/2hours on the phone. Seems there was a software problem from the start. Kudos to the Apple support team.
