My favorite computer shop recently closed their store and now do mobile service only-- at your home or business. Not so good for me.
Whenever I took my unit in he would check several things including the plug-ins-- or so I remember. Problem at the moment is that some videos will not play. YouTube plays fine.
Go to TV station website, click on a story, the advertising plays fine at high volume, then one or two seconds (if that much) into the story, it stops. The rotating circle appears to be loading and never goes beyond that. The ads will play but the story will not. If something is messing with my plug-ins, it probably is Firefox and/or Windows when they do automatic updates. But I don't know-- this is beyond my pay scale.
Suggestions?

Youtube has completely migrated away from Adobe Flash videos (to HTML5 -- means no plugin necessary).
I'm going to guess your local TV station is still using Flash video's. (Can you post the link so I can see?)
The obvious things: Update Adobe Flash (https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ !!! if you download from this link, be sure and "UNCHECK" the special offers !!! You don't want unnecessary software. One of the reasons I don't care for Adobe Flash
Clear your browser cache (menu/options/advanced/network/cached web content - clear now button)
You can also try disabling the Adobe Flash plugin and try surfing around. You might find you don't really need it anymore... I've not missed it.
