Rural King Exide AA batteries

Postby John *.?-!.* cub owner » Tue Jan 24, 2017 2:19 pm

Rural King opened a new store at Farmington Mo. a few months ago, and when I was in the area a month or so ago I took a tour, and saw they had a great price on Exide AA batteries and since I needed some AAs I bought a package. As a test I installed 4 of them in my Fuji Film S8300 digital camera. This camera does put a slight drain on batteries, but it is so small That they will be good for 3 or 4 months and still take a lot of pictures. The Exide batteries took half a dozen pictures over a 3 week period and were so low the camera gave a low battery warning then shut down. I definitely do NOT recommend.

Myself, I only buy Duracell batteries for any small devices. They seem to outlast anything else I've used including Energizer's.

Don't let that experience keep you from getting tractor or vehicle batteries, I've had really good luck with them.

Did you really think Exide made AA batteries? I don't think they make any batteries anymore. Sold their name to a company like Johnson Controls. Probably made in a factory in China that puts different labels on the same crap.

they recommend not using regular batteries for that reason, they suggest using a good rechargeable type, I had the same deal, my rechargeables are now 6 years old and still going
