TP Tools Atta Boys/Girls

Postby Bill Hudson » Wed May 01, 2013 8:56 pm

Barnyard's thread about his sandblaster cabinet http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=78059&p=625548&hilit=TP+Tools#p625548 generated a lot of very positive comments about TP Tools. I thought they should know about the positive feed back, so I sent them a short email with a hotlink to Barnyard's thread.

This is the response I received (please note that he thought I was the buyer, rather than Barnyard). Also, of special interest to me was his comment about their emphasis on same day shipping. He notes pics of the operation ---- I did not copy those.

Bill

Hello Bill,

I am the original (retired) founder of TP Tools and Skat Blast in Canfield, Ohio, and want to thank you for posting information about our cabinets on the farmallcub forum. We especially liked the last part where it referenced our fast (same day) shipping. Our motto is, "Call today - we'll ship today". This has always been our goal since starting the companies in the early 1970s and we plan to keep it that way. We also liked the night time unloading procedure - very impressive.

In addition to fast service, we do not have automated phone systems - all of our phones are answered live, and we intend to keep it that way. We have many employees that have been with our company for over 20 years that know our products and can offer troubleshooting advice when a customer calls. Also our Skat Blast Cabinets, Vacuums, Dust Collectors and HVLP paint spray system are all made in Canfield, Ohio. We are one of the few remaining U.S. manufacturers of such products. What makes things tough is that many of our products and accessories have been copied by the Chinese, and there is nothing that can be done about it. However we must be doing something right, as our business continues to grow. As you probably know, our target market is the antique car restoration hobby and we are "old car enthusiasts".

Attached is an aerial view of our facility in Canfield, Ohio. We have 30 acres of property at the corner of U.S. Rt. 224 and State Rt. 446 and between the two companies, we employ about 40 employees.

On the left side of the picture are two buildings that house our car collection museum, which are open every Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM (free admission). See http://www.tipcars.us for many pictures of our vehicles in the collection. Click on "Latest Additions" at top right side of Home Page for some of our better vehicles. Also see http://www.skatblast.com for some pictures showing our sandblasting cabinets being manufactured in our plant.

Again, thank you for your support and for bringing this to our attention.

Thanks Bill! These folks really believe in customer service. There is no doubt they will get more of my business in the future.

I sort of wish we had gone up on Saturday and been able to see the museum. I had wanted to look through the windows before we left but once we were loaded it slipped my mind and I missed out.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.
