Glad it worked out for everyone. I believe those that know Don Eicher had no doubt thing would work out on the positive side.

Don and his spouse have always been fair with me and has gone out of his way to find items that he may not have listed but may know where to get them. Wonderful people !

Completely off topic...but unless you caught the original post with the OP's original comments and the original title, this thread is completely useless.
Every other forum I visit does not allow the poster to edit the title and/or the coments after a certain time has passed for this reason.
Just my 2 cents.....
Glad it all worked out....whatever it was???

I wouldn't say it's useless-there was obviously some kind of problem-sounds like the OP had a part sold out from under him-and Don resolved the issue and apologized for it.

Yes, you sumarized the jist of it I guess. Maybe I just felt like I has just wasted my time reading it not knowing really what happened or when people began editing their posts. Also I'm not big on airing private grievances on public forums. I think a phone call would have avoided all of this. The OP calls Defarmall "unethical" without even a phone call and within 3 hours has retracted his post and the title of the post.
Moving on.....

Re: Sales issue solved....
Well, i agree that attempting to resolve it first would have been nice....but I do think that if it had not been resolved to his satisfaction, the OP should have then posted a message here. We all need to know who the good folks and the bad folks are, and I think we are all smart enough to read between the lines if necessary.
And I don't mean to cast any aspersions on DEFarmallCubs, but how do you know it WOULD have been resolved satisfactorily without this publicity?

Andy, anybody that has dealt with Don for a while WOULD have known that it would be resolved without the negative post. Chris

Re: Sales issue solved....
I've had several good conversations with Don as well as ordered parts from them (I don't eBay). Great experience every time. I called last week to order something that after discussing the issue with me he gave me a couple ideas on how to work through the issue without ordering any part. Very good to deal with in my book and I've found that calling him directly is very welcome and I appreciate that.

Re: Sales issue solved....
So let me preface by saying when I'm right, I'm right, but when I'm wrong, I'm usually way, way wrong and this one was no exception.
For a variety of reasons, I hadn't been on the forum, but when I last spoke with Don, he had said the next bellcrank ext I get in had my name on it. I said great, thanks, and I got swept up into a variety of things in life going on and away I went.
So l log in for the first time in I don't know how many months and there from October 2012 is a PM from Don saying he got in one with my name on it and to get in touch with him. Given that it had been nearly 7 months since he sent it, I replied that I appreciated him remembering me, but would understand if it was gone since it's been so long.
Don gets back to me and says, nope, he's still got it and wanted my address. I sent him my address and asked how I can pay him for it. Didn't hear anything, figured Don's a busy guy.
I get home today and the mail guy knocks on the door to hand me a package. I look at it and it's from Don. I open it, it's the bellcrank. Not only did he send it on his dime, it looks like he painted it knowin' I had a '77 that was yellow, cause I haven't seen many yellow bellcranks.
I'm touched, speechless and eternally grateful. Don is one of the most stand up guys I've ever met. I have never had that level of customer service from anywhere in the over 40 years on this rock. Guess where I'm buyin' all the rest of the things I need?! As long as he has it or can get it, he'll be getting the business, I don't care if he is more expensive or not. Don, as you all told me, is clearly the man! Thanks Don! You are truly one in a million....

Don and Teresa are stand up folks and I have nothing but admiration for them and will unhesitatingly recommend them.
It takes a big man to admit to a mistake and apologize. Well done, thanks for doing that and making it right
