TSC Stores has their 5 gal. gas cans on sale for $8.00. http://tsc.tractorsupply.com/search?p=Q ... grid&srt=0. I got one today. It has the cutoff that holds back the gas untill you have the spout in the tractor gas tank. Then you turn on the gas to fill the tractor tank.

I have used those gas cans. I got more on me than in the mower or what every I was using. Besides I dont like plastic verus fire I think thats a real bad deal. My 2c. I use the metal safety gas cans.

I also look to make sure it has a flash arresting screen -- 99% of cheap gas cans do not have this very important feature, while it's standard on safety cans. Just ask the guy who had a spark on a can without a flash screen, if you can find one that lived.

I bought one and it seems to be well made for a plastic gas can. I was trying to get away from my old one anyway since it had that flexible nozzle.

I like it because it is easier to handle full of gas than my old "Ironsides" galvanized one. It eliminates the need for a funnel and you have to work really hard to get the plastic to produce a static spark. :D :D :D
