There have been at least 4 HOW TO posts regarding jigs for straightening IH carbs. I am not a machinist, nor do I have access to the tools that are required to make one of these jigs. I do, however, periodically NEED one, and with the current situation, cubfests may be in the distant future.
I have a carb now that I have tried to straighten, with some success, but without the holes in a flat platform, access is limited to some areas.
SO, my question is directed to you guys who have the talent and ability to make one of these. Is there anyone who will make and ship one of these to me, and what would it cost? The alternative is to pack it up and send it to one of our Carb Guru's, however, I do enjoy doing things myself, but WITH the proper tools...besides, I just like having my own tools, anyway!! The carb MIGHT be close enough that a good fresh thick gasket would seal, but I can't see introducing a possible problem source.
Here are 4 of the HOW TO's with info on the jig:

I'd bet I am not the only one who would be interested in buying one!
P.S. I forgot to add, I was hoping to get this carb back on soon...yesterday!!

Dale, Farmertan (Mike Davis) made some nice ones. You could see if he has any left.

Dale, I just saw your June post where you were looking for a straightening jig. I have a spare that I would be happy to send to you if you haven't already found one. See my post EZ Carburetor Straightening Jig and Template

After over a year I hope she has that carb fixed by now.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: Seeking Carb Straightening Jig
Calcub, thanks! I did see your post and appreciate your work. I was able to buy a jig from a forum member, and in spite of my lack of talent, was able to muddle through and flatten it enough to work!! It was trial and a fair amount of error!!
And yes, Barnyard, it didn't take me all year!
