Surgery Monday the 10th

Postby BIGHOSS » Mon Apr 03, 2017 10:57 am

Next Monday I will have my abdominal aortic aneurysm fixed. We have been monitoring the aneurysm for a few years now. It has grown to 4.6 cm. The critical size is 5.0 cm. My brother Roger and a first cousin had one repaired in the past few years. With my family history and mine approaching the critical size, we need to take care of it.
Plans are to install a stent going up through each side of groin. One night stay in hospital is expected.

Thoughts and prayers are welcomed.

Ron

Ron,

Certainly wishing an easy procedure and speedy recovery. Sincerely hope you have an easy time of it, I guess a little soreness is to be expected.

Relatively common procedure. Hope it goes smoothly, for you. You should be up to full speed, in a week or so. I was involved in a number of those stentings, before entering the "old coot" status.
