Folks,

Thank all of you for your very kind Birthday wishes. They were/are much appreciated.

First, a bit of background before I share the best birthday present I've every received in my 74 years. Our Grandgirls, aged 10 and 12, have prepared cards for Granny (Jo) and me for a number of years now, for special occasions. My Birthday being one of those special occasions.

Abi, the 10 year old, without any prompting from anyone, made this card for me and I must admit to watery eyes when reading it and I wanted to share it with you.

How Blessed you are. Only and Grandpa who lives around and is active with Grandchildren understands. We are now Great Grandparents. My wife Melba Jo is taking care of him 5 days a week. I call her full time and I am part time, helping, warming bottles, walking him around and giving her relief. He is 7 months old. One of the important jobs of our life helping him learn and get started in life. Like you, I don't understand why folks put grandkids last if they put them at all. They are wonderful.
