Stanton, we all grieve when we loose a loved one. The pain is deep and the flood of memories can be overwhelming but knowing that your father has led a good life and probably had a lot of fun along the way helps ease the pain. Also knowing your dads walk with Jesus Christ has led him from this life into the greatest adventure beyond anything we could ever fathom has to be a joy amongst the pain. That is to be celebrated. I will be praying for you, your family and especially your mom.

Thanks everyone. Your words, thoughts and prayers mean a lot.

Funeral went well; good attendance and lots of support. Mom held up well and today (the day after) was able to speak of dad's passing without breaking down emotionally. There will always be a large void in her heart for him and that's as it should be. But think she's going to do okay in time. She's a strong personality and spirit.

The Lord's grace to each of you and hope you cherish time with your family this Christmas!!

Stanton, I'm sorry to hear about this. It was nine years ago this past Friday that my sister was called home to be with the Lord. We miss her greatly, but her 36 years on this earth were remarkable. She always loved Christmas, so loosing her at this time of year was especially hard, but we will always remember her much more because of it.

May God comfort you and yours during this time.
