My Heart Health

I had a routine physical exam on Feb 18th. During that visit, the doctor thought he heard a heart murmur or some irregular sounds from my heart. He referred me to a Cardiologist. Two days later, the Cardiologist said she could hear something, but it sounded like a leaky heart valve. An echocardiogram was scheduled and completed Tuesday (11th). The results were supposed to be shared with me at a consult visit with the Cardiologist next Thursday, but I received a call from her yesterday which alarmed me.
She said it appears that the leak is worse than she thought. They would like to do a more thorough echo involving dye and putting me out. It will be an outpatient procedure probably within the next week or so.
She added that this second echo would pinpoint what's going on and how severe it is. Possible course of action after this procedure would be a valve replacement (minimum) or a complete heart bypass (maximum). If the latter, I could be in the hospital for 4-5 days with a 6 week recovery time. To do nothing would mean heart failure at some point in the future.
Robyn and I ask that if you are so inclined to intercede with the Lord on my behalf, it would be most appreciated.
The Lord has been my Rock and Redeemer most of my life and much of my energy has been spent proclaiming His wonderful saving grace. For some, that's offensive, but to those who have tasted and seen the Lord's salvation, you know what I'm speaking of. My best thoughts and wishes are to everyone on this forum, even though I barely know most of you.
I've made reservations to both the NE OK Cubfest and Bill's Barnyard Bash, but we'll see where this ordeal lands me.
