Never miss a chance...Continuing Prayers Needed

Postby Corky's Cub » Mon Mar 21, 2011 6:40 pm

...to hug your kids, adult or otherwise, good or bad, no matter what...you just never know. A very close friend of mine lost his 20 year old daughter over the weekend...she laid down not feeling well at college, and died of heart failure.

Very sad...very, very sad. Rest in peace sweet Jessie.

I found this old Cub, Forgotten and Forlorn,
With pistons and valves frozen and worn.
Help from my buddies on Farmallcub.com,
And an engine from Ralph, (37’s the one),
Now ole Corky is running and back to life,
Much to the surprise of my dear, dear wife!

Sorry to hear of your friend's loss. So many times parents just take things for granted, they don't think about that extra hug now and then. So young and with so much left to do in life. It is tragic indeed.

I remember when Mel was little and I would see a news story about how a parent or any adult had abused a child, I always made sure she got a little extra love on those nights. Even now I make sure she knows we care.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

(+) Amen!

We never let a day go by without telling our kids how we feel about them - hugs are an essential part of that. Life can change in the blink of an eye.

Never miss a chance...Continuing prayers needed

Postby Corky's Cub » Tue Mar 22, 2011 7:05 pm

Hey folks,

I spoke with my friend this afternoon, and he is understandably devastated. Please everyone, continue saying prayers to help pull him through what is probably the most horrifying thing I can ever imagine...having to lay one of your children to rest. Thanks.

Can't imagine having to bury a child. God bless him and his family. Grump
