Prayers for some friends

Postby Pony Master » Tue Sep 14, 2010 12:08 am

I have some friends in need of some serious prayers. I have known Bill and Lana Nance and their family for years. Bill is our maintenance supervisor at work and Lana is an HR rep. with the company I work for. A couple of years ago, Gerry Nance, my good friend and Bill's brother passed away from complications from brain cancer. Gerry had recently had a divorce and was living back with his parents and helping take care of them. His mother ,Theresa, has Alzheimer's disease and it is getting rather advanced. His Father, Glen, does very well taking care of her but it has taken it's toll on him. Glen has had multiple heart attacks and Bill has had to bring him back with CPR. Recently Glen has been having some kidney problems, and the doctors believe that if they ran all the tests they would likely find some form of kidney cancer. He feels pretty good, so has decided to discontinue any further testing at this time. Glen and Theresa need help from time to time, and since Gerry is gone that has fallen to Bill and Lana. They take it in stride and never complain even though you can tell they have their hands full.

This evening there was a bad accident in a small neighboring town. I heard it on the fire pager and could tell it was a bad one. A couple of hours later we got word that Bill and Lana's daughter Jenny had been killed in the accident. Jenny was always an upbeat girl who would do anything in the world for you. She was well known around town and never met a stranger. I don't want to go into many details, but I know they were there and had to be helpless bystanders throughout the ordeal. In no way, shape, or form can I even begin to imagine the trauma of this incident for them. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers, I know they could sure use it.

Rest in peace Jenny Nance. You will be missed and never forgotten.

Prayers from Ga. lifted up now.
I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.
