Rudi, I hope all goes well!
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Thank you one and all :!: The power of prayer is immeasurable.

Update - Mandy is now home with Em and I along with Abby. House is getting full again.. only one not home is Bri and she will be home for Father's Day weekend.. so it will be a full house. Mandy went through the surgery well last night. It was late in the day... surgery was about 2030 or so I guess.. we got the call at about 2000 and boogied up to the hospital. Em had just got home from the hospital about an hour earlier to get Abby ready for bed.. so off we went. Doc came and saw us about 2130 - reported that the GB had been excised -- but some complications with attachment to the liver causing bleeds.. so a drain was inserted. They removed it this morning.

Thanks to all for your prayers, they were heard -- and now she just has to obey the docs orders and take it easy - no lifting, no stretching etc.. (which means no picking Abby up etc..)

Rudi,

Gall Bladder surgery has come a long way in recent years, and is not nearly as hard on the patient as it once was.

JR and one of our daughters, as well as her cousin, all had the surgery before their 40's, and my daughter was even back up and chasing her kid around the house in a few days....all will be fine.

Prayers just the same! :)

Vonla had the same problem and came through with flying colors--she felt a lot better afterwards. We pray for a quick, healthy recovery for Mandy.

Mandy, one word of warning, be careful of your weight. Instead of being sick and not able to eat, everything will now taste good. I learned that the hard way.

I just got home.. Mandy was taken by ambulance last night with complications from the surgery at 0400 with Em and I following along behind. We are still not sure what is going on, but she was in a lot of pain. Looks like she will be in hospital at least until tomorrow -- all tests are showing negative but the thought is that there were some stones left in the ducts and may have been exiting... hope so at least. Stones can be excruciating but are not too serious.

Rudi,

The exact same thing happened to Sheri a couple of years ago. they got the gall bladder out and in a couple of months she was back in pain, nauseous and getting jaundiced. Surgeon had missed a couple of stones and they moved into her bile duct. Had to take her to Columbus for a special procedure to scope out the stone. Scary couple of days, but she came out of it OK. You and your family have our prayers.

Well.... the same scenario here now John. ERCP sometime today. It is a very risky procedure compared to the Gall Bladder surgery. They go in through the mouth, to the stomach and into the bile duct and with Mandy going into the liver where they suspect a couple stones to be lodged. John, I am very glad that Sheri made it through ok without any complications. I am hoping and praying that Mandy has the same prognosis. Hopefully we will know later today. If it goes well she could be here tomorrow, if not well.... I don't want to think about that yet.

Thanks all for your prayers and support. Sure could use it all a while longer.

Peace (+)
