Prayers coming from Wisconsin. My wife, Allison, had ERCP procedure after the birth of our first daughter. I swear that gall stones are related to pregnancy and childbirth in some way...

She had regular gall bladder removal (laperoscopically) and shortly afterward, the doc said that she had stones in the duct (found via X-ray) and BACK in for the ERCP, she went. It was an overnight procedure, but she came through it with flying colors. I am sure that Mandy will too!!

Mike:

Thanks. The ERCP is over .. not sure what they found, but it required a stent in the bile duct, so I guess that a stone tore the duct. Since the duct has been sutured and the stent inserted, Mandy is feeling much, much better. She is actually at home now..

Thanks for all the prayers folks, we do appreciate it immensely. (+)

Gallstones are a very common complication, of pregnancy. More common in very young mothers, but not uncommon, in others. (Don't dare say "older") I'e been involved in hundreds of ERCP's. Ed
