Scotty:
Congrats It takes a special kind of person to stand up and decide to serve one's country. I know your Mom and your Dad are extremely proud of you.
Enjoy basic. It is an experience unlike any other. It not only will be memorable, it is a life defining period. You will be surprised at the depths you will have to reach into yourself, but it is also the most rewarding feeling in the world. It will be with you forever.
Keep us posted as you can, we will be keeping you in our prayers

Hey you will always be the little Ford driving PITA. Good for you and I will keep the old guy in line until you come home. I thought you were gonna sell that Ford? Be good and pay attention.

Scott-Best of luck at basic training. My younger son went through it at Lackland a few years ago and survived it all. He said one of the hardest things was learning to wolf down the meals and fluids in the short time alloted.
