And, according to some folks, still working the drive-thru window at a Burger King in Florida. Maybe Sneads Florida, I dunno.

Anyway, Happy Birthday where ever he is.

I stopped at Graceland last year on my way between Woodson Ridge and the Barnyard Bash Cubfests. Paid my respects. I was lucky enough to attend a concert of his in Lincoln. NE in 1976, the year before he died. Liked his music, thought a concert would be hokey because of the swooning, scarves passed out, etc. The girl I was dating really wanted to see him, so I shelled out the money thinking I might get lucky ( ). That didn't happen, but the concert and music was great. Long live the King!

I have to admit, I did like a lot of his music also.

Some things you never forget.. it seems. I still remember where I was the day he passed away. Sitting on a bay in Alert listening to AFR from Thule... very sad. And yup, he would have been 75. Imagine :!:
