We Need a Little More Help
Might I ask again for your help? A prayer for our little angel Abbigail? She is in need of prayers.
How does one help one so young? How does one cope when one's heart is breaking for the little one? Why do these little ones have to suffer such problems. I know it is the Lord's plan and He has one for us all, but at times my heart just breaks. I never realized just how much a grandchild can affect an old fart.
As we feared, the last was not the last and Abby has been admitted again to hospital. She passed out and was having trouble breathing, and stopped again for a short period. Same symptoms as when she was born, and still in hospital then. So she is back in for observation and possibly tests tomorrow. Not sure what is going to happen. It is not normal for a young child to pass out unconscious, stop breathing etc., so something is wrong aside from the Larnygo Tracheal Malasia if that wasn't bad enough.
A prayer for her to be well would be appreciated by all of her family.

Re: We Need a Little More Help
We visited with our granddaughter and daughter last night and I thought about Abbigail. Grandkids are a blessing, no doubt about it. Kaidence is busting the terrible two's wide open. Seems like she's trying to set records for an ill temper. Our daughter is at wit's end a lot of times. I just smile, hug her, and tell her "sweetheart, she learned from the best".
Rudi, my friend, I'm not hijacking your thread or your prayer request. More or less rambling I guess but mainly just sharing the love we have for our grandkids and man I can only imagine how your family is hurting right now. It's tough, but God doesn't give us trials without giving us the strength to bear them. Our prayers are with Abbigail for God's divine intervention and for your family for His strength to get you through this.
Thank you for the update. Please continue to share as you see fit.

Re: We Need a Little More Help
Em is with Mandy and Abbigail, and I spent the morning and part of the afternoon with them. Abbigail doesn't seem to understand what all the fuss is about of course, she just smiles. When she wheezes then coughs and the crying starts though, her whole persona changes, to one of complete helplessness. After the fit is over, she looks up at her Memere or her Mom, sort of gives this little smile as if to say "sorry for scaring you" and then carries on. My Lord, this child has courage. Our Family Physician was in this morning and saw Abby, the pediatrician is supposed to be seeing her today.. again depends on work load I guess. We are not sure when she will be coming home or if she will be staying in hospital longer.
I thank you for your prayers, they are helping. Em and I finally got to sleep last night between 2 and 3 am, up early so we is pooped. But, I can tell you this, this little child is one heck of a gift. God does help us in His way, sends us angels, and I hope he lets them stay with us.
For all who have grandchildren, a special prayer for you tonight, for all of who have yet to experience this, a prayer for the future and for all of you who have yet to have children, a prayer and a hope that you all will be as blessed as Em and I are. We have 5 beautiful children and an absolutely gorgeous granddaughter, and life has never been so good, even with all the worry and such.
Oh, and if you got a second, our Family Doc is almost part of the family, she has been with us from day one and has watched our family grow and helped me through many close calls. Dr. Chris, her hubby Dennis and their children will be in our prayers today as well. Chris still came to check on our little angel as she was preparing herself and her family to say goodbye to her cherised mother-in-law. A prayer would be appreciated for this wonderful family as well as they travel this sorrowful road.
I am constantly amazed at how the Lord works. We think the world has grown colder and HE shows us that the reverse is also true, that there are just so many wonderful, faithful folk around to warm our hearts and our days.
Peace unto you all (+)
